Identifying and Responding to Stalking in Rural Communities

Stalking is a prevalent, dangerous and misunderstood crime. The dynamics and barriers often encountered in rural communities can be challenging when working to increase victim safety and offender accountability in stalking cases. This webinar will address common stalking tactics, the intersection between stalking and domestic violence and explore strategies for safety, accountability, and collaboration in rural stalking cases.

Jennifer Landhuis – Jennifer Landhuis is the Director of the Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center (SPARC) and brings over 26 years of experience as an educator and advocate on the issues of stalking, domestic violence, and sexual assault. As Director, Ms. Landhuis oversees the development and implementation of multi-faceted resources, programs, and publications on stalking, collaborates with national partners, and provides robust trainings to criminal justice and victim service professionals. She has led the SPARC initiative since its founding at AEquitas in 2017.
