Description:
Victims in abusive relationships can experience immense psychological and technological warfare when offenders employ various tactics such as the use of applications, social media, and cell phones to stalk, cyberstalk, and harass their victims. Manufacturers and tech companies unwilling to make provisions that safeguard victims also stymie the progress of investigations by refusing to fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies to prove criminal activity. Geared toward strengthening and propelling law enforcement investigative strategies, this webinar provides a case-specific walk-through of cyberstalking, stalking, violation of protective orders, and roadblocks from car manufacturers and other corporations. Detective Downey will also discuss hints and tips to champion through the investigation process for your victim to obtain justice and protection despite current challenges.
